Green tea and Omega Rich a natural fat burner

Green vegetable juices to promote satiety and transit

Water infused with cucumber and mint, to boost weight loss

In nutrition, did you know that what you drink is as important as what you put on your plate? While some drinks can ruin an entire diet, others are very interesting in the context of a weight loss project thanks to their particular composition. In this article, discover the top 5 slimming drinks to boost weight loss!

Lemon juice, a real slimming ally

Lemon juice has long been recognized for its detoxifying and purifying properties. But it is also a real slimming ally. Indeed, this citrus fruit with a unique acid taste is full of health benefits.

First, the citric acid it contains helps stimulate the production of bile and digestive enzymes. Thus, it boosts the digestion of sugars and fats and helps the elimination organs to purify themselves. Lemon also has a satiating effect and a positive effect on blood sugar levels. Finally, the antioxidant potential of lemon is very beneficial for the health of the organism as a whole, since it helps to slow cell aging and fight against cell oxidation.

For optimal effect, it is recommended to drink the juice of a freshly squeezed lemon in a glass of lukewarm water, in the morning on an empty stomach. Adding a squeeze of lemon to drinking water can also be a great way to flavor the water and enjoy the health benefits of this slimming drink throughout the day.

Flat stomach infusion: cinnamon, ginger and lemon

Do you want to achieve a nice, flat and toned stomach? The flat stomach infusion made with cinnamon, ginger and lemon is ideal for this. Combined with a varied and balanced diet, this slimming drink can increase the body’s energy expenditure, promote digestion and fight against bloating.

Indeed, cinnamon is a warming spice which increases the temperature of the body. As a result, the body will naturally expend more energy to restore its physiologically optimal temperature. In addition, cinnamon also has a very positive effect on digestive health, blood sugar levels and satiety.

Ginger, meanwhile, helps soothe digestive pain and facilitate transit. It also stimulates the cleaning of the filter organs and their ability to eliminate toxins and metabolic waste. Like cinnamon, it also increases the body’s temperature and, by extension, its energy expenditure.

For 1 cup of flat stomach infusion

1 stick of Ceylon cinnamon

1.5 cm of ginger root

The juice of half a lemon

1 C. teaspoon of honey

200 ml of water

Preparation

To make this flat stomach herbal tea, start by placing the water in a saucepan. Add the cinnamon stick then bring to the boil. Then let the cinnamon steep for 7-10 minutes in hot water.

Meanwhile, crush the ginger carefully and then squeeze the lemon. Place both items in the bottom of a cup with a teaspoon of honey.

Finally, pour hot water over it, mix and enjoy hot before going to sleep or after a rich meal.

Green tea, a natural fat burner

Green tea has been used throughout the world and for thousands of years for its many virtues as well as for its subtle taste. It is also the slimming drink par excellence because it combines a whole set of particularly interesting effects to promote weight loss.

First, green tea, thanks to its theine, theophylline and theobromine content, helps stimulate weight loss and fat burning. Also, it has the effect of increasing thermogenesis and energy expenditure. We must also underline its very interesting diuretic role and its ability to promote the proper distribution of fats in the body. In fact, it has been proven that regular tea drinkers are on average slimmer and have an easier time losing weight than the rest of the population.

For an optimal effect, consume green tea regularly, not exceeding 3 cups per day to avoid the inconveniences of overconsumption of caffeine.

Green vegetable juices to promote satiety and transit

While industrial fruit juices are not always a good idea for weight loss, homemade vegetable juices are a great one! Indeed, vegetable juice is a very interesting slimming drink when it is integrated into a healthy and varied diet. Vegetable juice makes it easy to increase the consumption of dietary fiber. As a result, it contributes to digestive well-being and has a positive effect on satiety by reducing the urge to snack.

Quality vegetable juices are a concentrate of antioxidants, vitamins, trace elements and minerals essential for metabolism and particularly beneficial for weight loss.

To make a quality vegetable juice, use a juice extractor and do not exceed 30% of sweet fruits to avoid a too rapid rise in blood sugar.

Here are the 15 best foods to include in slimming vegetable juice:

Lemon

Spinach

Celery

Kale

Cucumber

Parsley

Beet

Carrot

Green apple

Red fruits

Oats

Wheat grass

Spirulina

Acai

Ginger

Be careful, the consumption of vegetable juice should in no case replace that of fresh vegetables.

Water infused with cucumber and mint, to boost weight loss

Almost calorie-free, water infused with cucumber and mint is an exceptional slimming drink! Its very subtle taste allows you to enjoy drinking and therefore to drink more water. Then, the cucumber, lemon and mint that make up this drink are three interesting elements from a nutritional point of view.

First, mint has a powerful cooling and appetite suppressant effect. Mint also has many virtues on the digestive system since it allows in particular to soothe digestive pain and promote transit. The assets contained in mint also stimulate the digestive organs and the assimilation of nutrients.

For its part, cucumber is the lowest calorie vegetable. Its mineral salt and fiber content promote satiety and help fight against water retention. In addition, it has significant diuretic properties when you want to lose weight.

Finally, lemon has many slimming benefits mentioned at the beginning of the article.

Preparation of water infused with cucumber and mint

To make a liter of water infused with cucumber and mint, simply place a quarter of a cucumber washed and cut into thin slices in a carafe. Add the juice of a squeezed lime then 10 to 15 mint leaves and cover with water. Leave to infuse in the refrigerator for 4 to 8 hours before tasting chilled.

That Feels Good! Herbs For Pregnant Women And Babies – Vigorous Herbs

First of all: During pregnancy and baby nutrition, medicinal and culinary herbs should generally be used very sparingly. “Even an ordinary parsley can under certain circumstances have effects on the organism that is not desired at this point in time,” explains the pharmacist and head of the training focus of the baby advisor, Bettina Nussdorfer.

Best herbal supplements for pregnant women and babies: Rejuvenator

In addition, all medicinal herbs for pregnant women or babies should always be discussed in advance with the doctor or midwife, as they ultimately decide on their use. “As part of my freelance work, however, I am very happy to recommend herbs as a supportive therapy measure and have had good experiences with them.

Why are medicinal herbs so popular during pregnancy and for babies? Because they are said to have a gentle effect. And this has been passed down for a long time. Modern science has analyzed individual ingredients and checked their effectiveness. Nevertheless: there are no long-term studies on this. In return, a lot of good experiences from midwives, doctors and ultimately mothers.

Women’s mantle tea and raspberry leaves for pregnant women

For example, the raspberry leaf tea is popular for birth preparation. “However,” says midwife Ivonne Teufl: “Contrary to the often incorrect assumption, there is no connection between the onset of labor and raspberry leaf tea. Rather, the raspberry leaves cause the vessels to widen, which may well promote the softening of the cervix. “

But be careful: Conversely, it can also promote water retention in the legs and hands and varicose veins. Therefore, this tea should only be consumed in small quantities (1-2 cups / day) or, depending on the constitutional type of the woman, even avoided.

Relaxation in the ball time

In addition, expert Bettina Nussdorfer recommends ginger and chamomile tea for general nausea, a mixture of equal parts lemon balm and lemon verb tea for morning sickness and a lavender rose bath to relax. With water retention, nettle and birch leaf tea can be helpful.

About and after the due date

If the deadline is missed, midwives recommend drinking 1 cinnamon stick, 7 clove buds and a slice of ginger throughout the day.

If the uterus regresses too slowly after giving birth, a tea mixture of yarrow, lady’s mantle and shepherd’s purse in equal parts, drunk three times a day, can help. In addition, a foot bath made from mustard flour can be used as a support.

Blueberry tea and fennel for babies

Medicinal herbs have also proven beneficial for babies. Fennel and caraway tea for abdominal pain are widely known. In the event of diarrhea, the baby can drink blueberry tea. “But only from the 8th month,” says Bettina Nussbaumer. If you have a fever, she recommends elderflower tea (from 1 year) and a belly wrap made from chamomile flowers.

However, essential oils made from camphor, eucalyptus and peppermint are absolutely taboo. They are said to have a cramping effect on the larynx in the little ones.

Muscle Building Supplement – Vigorous Herbs

What are supplements?

The word supplements stands for nutritional supplements. Supplements complement the diet tailored to the training at all levels. Opinions on the aids differ widely: one side counts the products for non-natural bodybuilding, while the other side explicitly links natural training with supps. Basically, dietary supplements are not illegal helpers that encourage your body to grow beyond its genetic limit. They are legal and are found in many foods.

Muscle Building Supplement - Vigorous Herbs
Muscle Building Supplement – Vigorous Herbs

Supplements are divided into several categories:

  • Muscle building
  • regeneration
  • concentration
  • Fat loss
Why is a special diet sometimes not enough?

A balanced diet is difficult to implement in the initial, medium and professional training state. Dietary supplements only take effect when the diet is insufficient. The word reveals the meaning and purpose: The food is supplemented in the area of micro- and macronutrients and not replaced. Missing carbohydrates or proteins are supplemented at the end of the day with food supplements such as casein or whey protein.

The supplements listed are suitable for every athlete and help beginners to get used to the individual nutritional planning. Advanced and professional athletes benefit from the rapid absorption in the body.

What else has to be done for the supplements to work?

The right training : Dietary supplements are not a panacea for rapid muscle building or fat loss. They are more likely to bind to the respective goal. When building muscle, supps such as creatine or whey protein are indispensable.

Creatine is not absolutely necessary for fat loss, as the body works more in the area of endurance and less in maximum strength. Instead of whey protein, use casein in your diet to avoid muscle breakdown.

Keep enough rest periods after the workouts. Depending on the intensity, 48 hours of rest are to be controlled. Then set new stimuli.

The right diet: The training goal determines your diet and the diet determines the correct intake of the supplements. Make sure you get the majority of the micro- and macronutrients through your diet. Then the supplements are used. Precise nutrition is hardly possible, which is why the intake of dietary supplements can easily take place over a longer period of time.

The absorption of essential amino acids such as vitamin D or omega 3 fatty acids is difficult without supplements. The body cannot produce omega 3 fatty acids. On dark winter days, the amount of UVB sun rays is insufficient for an optimal supply of vitamin D. Here food supplements are sometimes absolutely necessary.

The dietary supplement market is growing steadily and becoming more and more opaque. Advertising slogans suggest that without additional preparations you either live unhealthily because you do not get your daily needs for vitamins and minerals, or that you cannot use your full potential.

Many food supplements – also called supplements – are not just a waste of money, they can even damage your health through an overdose. However, there are some supplements that are quite useful and that you should take.

What are dietary supplements?

As the name suggests, dietary supplements are a supplement to your diet. Often times you can take them in the form of tablets, powders, or liquids. They mostly contain nutrients that are also contained in food, but in a very concentrated and high dose.

Between 1980 and 1990, the beneficial health effects of fruits and vegetables were attributed to individual ingredients such as vitamins. This led to the misconception that individual, high-dose nutrients are healthy. It is now known, however, that it is not a single ingredient that makes apples so healthy, for example, but the interplay of many nutrients. This means that natural foods are still the better choice over isolated nutrients or supplements.

When are supplements useful?

Dietary supplements are useful if you are unable to meet your daily nutritional requirements through food. This can especially be the case with risk groups or vegans. Some vital nutrients are mostly found in animal products. Since vegans do without them completely, it is more difficult for them to meet their daily need for certain nutrients. In order to prevent or eliminate a nutritional deficiency, you can and should use supplements.

However, before you run to the nearest pharmacy or drugstore, or order nutritional supplements online, you should definitely consult a doctor beforehand. Supplementation only makes sense if a deficiency has been proven by means of appropriate tests. If a deficiency is found, the doctor can give you precise recommendations for action.

As herbs, spices, tea or other internal or external forms of application (oil, tincture, drops), some plants can trigger contractions or cramps and thus may have an abortive effect, i.e. may promote a miscarriage or premature birth . Others can also be teratogenic in large quantities or have other negative effects during pregnancy. Some substances are not recommended during pregnancy. Others should not be used regularly and only in small amounts.

The rule here is: “The amount alone makes the poison”. Most of the substances listed are used rarely and not regularly. If this is the case for you, however, you should talk to a doctor, pharmacist or midwife about it. You can also get advice from a herbalist shop. However, there are also a number of herbal substances that are more commonly used as spices, culinary herbs or tea. These include, for example, basil, tarragon, lovage, oregano, rosemary, thyme, marjoram or ginger. Ginger should e.g. B. raw or as ginger tea are not consumed regularly and only in small quantities.

Some of the substances are often used in highly concentrated form as a tincture or oil, so special care is required here. With regular internal or external use of such products z. B. to alleviate symptoms, you should always seek professional advice. Finally, we have to point out that the classification of the substances mentioned is based on different data and data sources, the scientific quality of which is very different. This includes clinical observations, practical knowledge from doctors, midwives and health professionals. In this respect, there are inconsistent, sometimes even contradicting, evaluations and recommendations for some substances in the literature or in other data sources. An example of this is the use of ginger during pregnancy. It is both recommended and rejected for the relief of pregnancy sickness. Some classifications are also quite controversial. Overall, if you do not use the substances mentioned in the second list regularly and only in small amounts – as described by way of example – you do not have to fear any health risks.

Your Health is In Your Hands – Vigorous Herbs

I know very well the fear that comes with a health crisis. In October 2017 I was struck by a mysterious illness including severe flu-like symptoms that came out of nowhere and kept me bedridden for days and weeks. I went to and from my GP a number of times who did a series of tests and blood tests just to find inconclusive results.

Your Health is In Your Hands - Vigorous Herbs
Your Health is In Your Hands – Vigorous Herbs

For the next few months, I’d be fine enough to go back to work for a couple of weeks and then fall again, a little harder each time. As Christmas passed around, I was completely exhausted and forced to go on vacation. The same GP I had seen for the past three months eventually diagnosed me with “depression and anxiety.” He released me from his care and told me that there was nothing more he could do for me.

I felt hopeless, isolated, and alone. I suffered from a high fever, night sweats, chills, hallucinations, body aches and panic attacks. I felt like I was going out of my mind and I was scared because no one could give me a reason for my health breakdown.

It was a time of uncertainty and isolation as we all experience it today.

It was then that I realized that if I was to get better, I had to become my own health advocate. My health was in my hands. And so began the journey to regeneration.

A friend of mine referred me to a functional medicine doctor whom I am forever grateful to. Functional Medicine is a systems and biology-based approach to health care that focuses on identifying and treating the root cause of disease. Functional medicine is essentially like the “organic farming” approach in health care – holistic and oriented towards the overall picture.

My new doctor started looking for the causes of my health collapse, which he eventually identified (through appropriate tests) as Lyme disease. Instead of further decimating my microbiome and immune system with traditional antibiotics, he used a combination of natural detox therapies and herbs, as well as a diet and lifestyle plan, to get me on the road to recovery.

My doctor helped me understand how the body works as an ecosystem and that it was my job to rebalance the ecosystem. In essence, I “farm” my body back to full health.

He helped me see and understand that overcoming Lyme disease (or any chronic disease) needed to become a new way of life. So I started treating each decision each day as a gradual step toward full health. My health was now in my control.

My approach to healing became a daily rhythm: morning meditation, journal, prayer, exercise, proper rest and sleep, and deep breathing. I focused on preparing nutritious organic meals that would restore my energy and wellbeing, and I drank plenty of pure water.

Little by little, I recovered in full health and my whole life was steered in a new direction. A nicer and healthier life than I ever thought possible. This time of darkness, despair and isolation led me to a new community. A sense of wholeness and belonging. I was healed to be a healer.

Given the uncertainties of the coronavirus and a period of isolation, I urge all of us to recreate this moment. We live in “the moment before the moment” when we don’t have all the answers. These times can evoke feelings of deep fear and anxiety.

But I would challenge us all to see this season as a time when we need to slow down, pause, reflect, and heal. We can all use this time to concentrate on our health, to regenerate our body and to create more resilience and vitality. If we fail to create these rhythms in our lives, they will be forced upon us. Sometimes for good reasons and sometimes for really scary reasons.

So in all of this there can be an invitation for us to disrupt the endless thrust. In this “shock to the system” we are just facing, there may be an invitation for all of us to stop and pause. Leave the field fallow or build a cover crop.

When we adopt the principles of regenerative organic farming and apply them to our own bodies, we can take control of our health. We are all called to manage our bodies now and focus on our wellbeing. We are invited to change our way of life. Stop consuming and regenerate. To transform this moment of isolation into a new kind of community, a moment of rebirth for humanity.

What if we all used this season as a moment to individually reinvent human and planetary health?

Your health is in your control. Here’s what you can do now:

  1. Drink 64 ounces of clean water daily to help remove toxins from your body and revitalize your cells. (Please no plastic bottles!) And promote clean water in your community by supporting organic farmers who do not leach toxic chemicals into our vital water supply .
  2. Consume fresh, organic, and nutritious foods. Avoid sugar and processed foods that weaken the immune system.
  3. Visit a local farm or farmers market: Supporting farmers in our community and securing a local food system strengthens our communities, revitalizes our local economy, and makes us more resilient to future pandemics. And like other small businesses, many farmers are hurt by restaurant and market closings and can use your support. You might even consider signing up for an organic CSA this season to help farmers get cash flow during this critical time.
  4. Reconnect with nature: take the time to go outside, breathe some fresh air, take off your shoes and feel the ground on your feet, step out in the sun and absorb the vitamin D that our immune systems have strengthens.
  5. Planting a Garden : Getting your hands in the ground and growing your own food is one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself and your family.
  6. Rest, rejuvenate, meditate, calm down, pause.
  7. Connect with a Community: Rodale Institute is a community of pioneers who are passionate about healing people and the planet through regenerative organic farming. Take part! !

During the darkest days of my health breakdown, I took great solace in poetry. It was a healer and companion who gave me rich meaning in the most difficult times. I would like to share one poem in particular with all of you, my fellow healers. You are not alone, we are there together and we will regain our vitality and wholeness. Because our health is in our hands.

14 Exercises That Are Good For Your Health And The Preservation Of Autonomy - Vigorous Herbs
14 Exercises That Are Good For Your Health And The Preservation Of Autonomy – Vigorous Herbs

Work your breathing

Good breathing is particularly important for muscle relaxation and back comfort.

PRO TIP:  Think about mentally visualizing the path made by the air you introduce from your nostrils to your lungs and vice versa. Imagine the passage in all the organs of your respiratory system: trachea, throat, bronchi, veins… This technique will help you to better feel the air while it fills your body then to better evacuate the CO2 as well as your negative thoughts.

1- Exercise 1

This exercise is practiced while sitting on a chair.

One hand on the stomach, one hand on the chest, breathe out slowly, mouth closed, pronouncing the sound “MMM”. Let the inspiration flow through the nose without forcing.

At the end of the exhalation, release the belly, let the chest expand while letting the inspiration take place.

Never force the breathing, the exhalation or especially the inspiration.

REPEAT THE EXERCISE FOR 3 TO 5 MINUTES

PRO TIP:  If you feel your head spinning, you’ve been breathing either too fast or too hard. If this is the case, take a break so that the breathing regulates itself.

2- Exercise 2

The exercise is similar to the previous one but with the arms.

Imagine that a thread is tied on each of your wrists

As you breathe in, let the hands go up as if they were being pulled by the thread.

With your hands resting on your thighs, breathe in slowly through your nose, raising your hands to shoulder height, elbows bent.

Let the inspiration flow through the nose without forcing.

When exhaling, gently let the hands rest on the thighs.

Pause for one to two seconds, completely relaxing your arms and shoulders.

Repeat the exercise.

REPEAT THE EXERCISE FOR 3 TO 5 MINUTES

PRO TIP:  This exercise involves a slight back extension on the inhale and a slight back flexion on the exhale. Muscle building

To remedy the age-related loss of muscle mass, it is recommended to practice muscle building exercises.

Did you know that static efforts are more beneficial for muscle building than rapid movements?

3- Strengthening the arms and back

Sit on the chair, moving forward slightly so that you can place both hands back on the edge of the chair.

Round your back, bend your elbows and push up in your arms. Your arms straighten and your chest rises.

Hold the position for a few seconds, depending on your abilities and breathing gently.

Slowly release your effort.

Breathe normally.

REPEAT 10 TO 20 TIMES DEPENDING ON YOUR ABILITIES

PRO TIP:  The efforts should be localized in the back of the arms and in the back muscles located on either side of the rib cage. A slight tremor in the arms may be felt due to the exertion.

4- Strengthening the thighs

Sit in a chair and then slowly get up.

Place your body weight on both feet and slowly straighten up.

Sit down in the chair as gently as possible. If necessary, extend your arms in front of you to help you brake the descent.

By breaking down the movement, you become aware of the shift in body weight from the buttocks to the feet.

If you feel pain in the knees, do the exercise instead on the edge of a table which will limit the flexion of the knees.

REPEAT 10 TO 20 TIMES DEPENDING ON YOUR ABILITIES

PRO TIP:  The strain is mostly felt in the quadriceps (thigh muscles) and lower back (back muscles). If you have difficulty standing up without resting your hands on the chair Put your hands on the chair, extend your arms in front of you to help you stand up.

5- Renforcement des mollets

While standing, lean very lightly with your hands on the back of the chair.

The heels are together, the feet slightly open.

Shift your body weight onto the front of the feet to lift the heels off the ground.

First test the strength of your calves without taking off the heels too high.

Hold the position for 10 to 30 seconds, depending on how you feel and breathing gently.

Lower the heels back down, release and bring the body weight back into the heels to relax the calves and back.

Repeat the exercise, gradually trying to lift your heels off higher.

REPEAT 10 TO 20 TIMES DEPENDING ON YOUR ABILITIES

PRO TIP:  Holding the position for too long will put all of the body weight on the calves and the level of fatigue may appear quickly. By training regularly, you will feel clear progress.

Joint

With age, the cartilage in the joints loses its elasticity and flexibility. To prevent the onset of osteoarthritis, generated by this process, it is recommended to strengthen joint mobility. As we do not know how to repair cartilages well, and few treatments are effective, it is better to preserve them and develop strategies to prevent our joints from suffering too much.

Exercise is effective in stopping the development of osteoarthritis and relieving pain. In preventing joint disorders, the best exercises are those that exert the least stress and impact on the joint.

6- Shoulders

Spread your feet hip-width apart and parallel to each other. Unlock the knees. Release the arms at your sides.

Roll your shoulders in circles. The movement should start from the shoulders and go backwards.

Repeat the movement 10 to 20 times, depending on your ability.

Repeat the exercise by rolling your shoulders forward.

REPEAT 10 TO 20 TIMES DEPENDING ON YOUR ABILITIES THEN CHANGE DIRECTION

PRO TIP:  There is a variation on this exercise that involves alternating shoulder roll, trying to tie the movement of the right shoulder and left shoulder together. To perform this exercise well, it is recommended to never force and to strive for fluidity.

7- Winding / unwinding of the body

Place your hands on the upper thighs then, leaning slightly forward, bring them down to the ankles.

Straighten up by sliding the hands behind the legs up to the buttocks.

Iron your hands in front.

REPEAT 10 TO 20 TIMES DEPENDING ON YOUR ABILITIES

PRO TIP:  Remember to blow on your way down and inhale on your way up.

8- Torsion of the spine to the right and to the left

Turn to the right as if you are looking back.

Your head goes first, then your shoulders, then your back and hips. Your knees are slightly bent and your body weight is shifted onto the left foot.

Come back to the center.

Repeat the exercise by turning to the left.

REPEAT 10 TO 20 TIMES DEPENDING ON YOUR ABILITIES

PRO TIP:  Breathe out as you turn and inhale as you come back to the middle. It is recommended to stop the exercise at the slightest painful sensation, in particular in the back (lumbar or cervical).

Flexibility

With age, the muscles retract, strain the tendons excessively and damage the joints.

Flexibility techniques, beneficial for joint mobility, can limit or even reduce muscle tension and stiffness as well as trauma and joint pain.

PRO TIP:  Each posture is associated with slow, full breathing to help decrease muscle tone and therefore gain amplitude.

9- Calf stretch

Lean against a wall, both hands flat and legs together.

Let the pelvis go towards the wall, without digging your back and keeping your feet on two parallel lines.

Bring your left foot towards the wall, bending the knee. Your right leg is straight at the back and both heels are flat on the floor.

You feel the stretch in your right calf.

Hold the stretch for 10 to 30 seconds depending on your ability and breathing gently.

Gently release the stretch.

Repeat the exercise with the other leg.

REPEAT 3 TIMES – ALTERNATE LEGS

PRO TIP:  If you don’t feel your calves stretch, review your positioning: either your bent knee isn’t close enough to the wall, or your heels aren’t glued to the floor enough.

10- Stretch of the quadriceps (above the thigh)

Be careful not to arch your back while performing this exercise.

Lean against a wall with your left hand. With your free hand, grab your right ankle.

Bring, gently and as much as possible, your right heel against your buttock. Your knee is then oriented downward.

Bend the knee of the left leg slightly and contract the gluteal muscles.

You feel the stretch in your right quadriceps.

Hold the stretch for 10 to 30 seconds depending on your ability and breathing gently.

Gently release the stretch.

Repeat the exercise with the other leg.

REPEAT 2-3 TIMES – ALTERNATE LEGS

PRO TIP:  If the knee is sore from exercise, don’t force it.

11- Stretching the buttocks

This exercise should be done last as it relieves the strain on the back and at the same time stretches the extensor muscles of the hip.

Glue your back against the wall then gently bring your right knee up to your right hip to catch it with both hands.

Depending on your abilities, bring the knee as high as possible towards the chest, keeping your back glued to the wall. You feel the stretch in your lower back as well as in the buttocks.

Hold the stretch for 10 to 30 seconds, depending on your ability and breathing gently.

Gently release the stretch.

Repeat the exercise with the other leg

REPEAT 2-3 TIMES – ALTERNATE LEGS

Relaxation

Relaxation helps relieve stress, soothes body and mind.

12- Installation

These exercises require landing. It is therefore necessary to have:

a support that is neither too hard nor too soft (the ideal being a foam mat),

a large cushion to be placed under the knees so that the back is properly placed on the ground, a cushion for the head so as to avoid neck tension.

Sit with your head in the center, knees supported by the cushion and lower back against the floor, arms at your sides.

Close your eyes.

13- Feel all your support

Concentrate on your heels. As you work your way up the legs, feel the upper calves, back of the knees and lower thighs.

Concentrate on supporting your buttocks.

Feel the central support at the level of the sacrum (at the level of the top of the glutes).

Feel the support of your arms (fingers, hands, forearms, elbows, arms) on each side of your body, up to your shoulders which are more or less touching the ground.

Concentrate on supporting your back to relax your rib cage.

Feel the support of your head on the pillow.

14- Relax your face

Once the body is well placed on your supports, relax all the muscles of your face:

relax your jaw muscles (loosen your teeth) and your mouth, relax your cheeks, eyebrows and forehead.

You relax all the muscles in your body.

Detoxifying with herbs is a well-known method to bring the body back into shape at least once a year – usually during Lent or in the course of spring. When detoxifying, pollutants that have accumulated in the body through diet and environmental influences are eliminated. The immune system is partially overloaded by little exercise, unhealthy diet, alcohol and coffee and can no longer excrete these pollutants and environmental toxins itself. The body can be supported in its natural detoxification in a simple way with the help of herbs. We introduce some folk medicine herbs with detoxifying effects.

Either you mix the tea yourself with herbs from the garden or you buy a ready-made tea mixture in a specialist shop or pharmacy – there are numerous mixtures that are offered as “detoxifying” or “bladder and kidney”. – Depending on your needs, the right one can be selected.

Big burdock

The effect of the burdock as antibiotic, blood-purifying, blood-sugar-regulating and detoxifying has long been known in folk medicine. It is helpful for rheumatism, diabetes, gout, bladder problems and diseases of the liver. The root is helpful in removing accumulated heavy metals from the body.

coriander

Coriander is often used in the kitchen and is related to parsley. This plant is suitable to cleanse the body of mercury and heavy metals, and is also effective in areas of the body that are particularly difficult to access, such as the brain.

Stinging nettle

The nettle is one of the most famous medicinal plants. By stimulating the kidney function and its diuretic effect, more water and pollutants are generated. Its blood-cleaning effect, which is achieved by stimulating the kidney function, has a cleansing and regenerating effect on the digestive tract and stimulates the body’s defense mechanisms. Nettle can be enjoyed as a tea or in numerous dishes. In the kitchen, the nettle can be used instead of spinach or chard.

Milk thistle

The milk thistle is also known as “wild artichoke” has a special effect on the liver – it is considered a “liver protection plant” and prevents toxic substances from entering the liver cells, it promotes the regeneration of the liver and the formation of new liver cells. The milk thistle has a particularly strong detoxifying effect on the liver – and is therefore the most important detoxification plant, as the liver is our most important detoxification organ. In addition, the milk thistle has a relaxing and calming effect on the nervous system.

dandelion

Dandelion can support health when consumed regularly and is an all-round medicinal herb. The plant is often referred to as a weed, but it plays a huge role in detoxification. The dandelion itself is extremely robust, grows in the greatest heat of summer, in every crack in the asphalt and is a true survivor. The leaves and flowers of the dandelion are cut in spring and immediately pressed or dried. Dandelion cleanses the blood and kidneys and also improves the function of the bile and liver. It can dissolve kidney stones, has an antibacterial effect, stimulates digestion, stimulates the appetite and is said to give new life force. It is also popular with diabetes – as it has a regulating effect on blood sugar levels.

Beautiful Vs Ugly: A Little Reflection On Beauty in Our Society – Vigorous Herbs

What is beauty in our society ? We may think that it is our instinct or our personal tastes that drives us to find someone beautiful (or ugly ), but is it really the case? Are there other external elements that “direct” our opinions and influence our perceptions?

Fountain of Youth is among the world’s most popular supplements
Keep skin radiant and ageless
Maintains skin’s texture
Healthy skin complexion
Helps connective tissues to be strong
Increases skin elasticity

We took an interest in this very interesting (and above all taboo!) Subject and we took stock.

What is beauty?

Society often defines beauty by specific attributes: for example, symmetry or the well-proportioned character of a face. Beauty can also come from an attitude; self-assured and confident in some spheres, or humble and modest in others.

In general, people tend to see the ultimate beauty through the absence of alleged “flaws” : a smooth face (without marks, without acne, without wrinkles …), white and straight teeth, a shaved body and. without cellulite, skin without too obvious tattoos, etc.

It goes without saying that this is definitely not the opinion of the Look team of the day!

Appreciating these so-called “desirable” traits may seem completely innate, but it’s very important to realize that this is not necessarily the case.

What we consider “beautiful” comes in particular from our culture, from what we see around us and what we learn more or less consciously from an early age.

In short, beauty is subjective and cultural!

The advantages (and disadvantages) of beauty

Do people considered “beautiful” have more success in life? Since humans are naturally drawn to what is beautiful and harmonious, one might assume that yes …

Few studies have been done on the subject, but a few are quite clear. According to a study that looked at the correlation between physical appearance and salary , “very beautiful” people earned 5% more than people considered “average” physically. People considered “well below average” were 9% less.

This is a fairly serious and reliable study, since the physical beauty of the participants was evaluated by several objective people (not part of the study) and the results were adjusted to different criteria, such as education and experience.

Other anecdotal facts tend to support this: For example, the CEOs of America’s top 500 companies are significantly taller than the average male (because it has to be said, unfortunately there are very few women). A third of them are more than 6 feet 2, which is quite significant when compared to the general population.

So it would probably not be wrong to say that with equal skills, people who have physical attributes considered desirable in society are more likely to make a good impression, which can help them in their careers.

Are there any disadvantages of being beautiful?

In the case of women, there certainly are. For example, so-called “very beautiful” women sometimes tend not to be taken seriously (because lack of intelligence has so much to do with appearance, tse …!).

They are also sometimes victims of jealousy and may wonder if the people around them are around them for the right reasons.

A woman who has always been immensely valued for her beauty is also likely to find aging very difficult if she has never built her identity other than through her physical appearance.

Beauty in History

No matter your body type and features, you can always tell yourself that somewhere in history you have met the standards of perfect beauty!

The idea is first of all to make people realize that everyone can be beautiful, but also to see how much that changes over time!

The evolution of the concept of “beautiful”

This is a very sad part of history, but it can be said without a doubt that for hundreds of years, the concept of beauty was almost exclusively seen through a European perspective, therefore white. “Ethnic” features departing from these standards could not therefore be considered beautiful.

We can still see today much more openness to this fact. For example, we only have to think of Beyoncé, who is today considered one of the most beautiful women in the world! Even though her skin is not very dark and her hair is rather pale, she is increasingly claiming her African American heritage and she is pushing the concept of #blackbeauty.

However, the white influence on beauty is definitely still dominant. But in the last few years, the standards have started to change.

The features currently in vogue in North American society, of having round buttocks and fuller hips, do not traditionally belong to Caucasians, but much more to African Americans and Latinas.

Note: we obviously do not want to make generalizations or value judgments here, just provoke reflection!

Beauty criteria around the world

Each culture has its own standards of beauty. We notice that often what is desirable is what is difficult to achieve.

Korea, Japan and China : To be considered beautiful, women absolutely must not be tanned. The double eyelid (which does not often occur naturally in Asians = cosmetic surgery) is also required.

United States : Having a well rounded butt has become a must. Having a generous and firm chest, especially when the rest of the body is thin, continues to be desirable (… which is why many women resort to cosmetic surgery).

Brazil  : A woman is beautiful from behind, since the buttocks have always been a much more important attribute than the breasts or the face.

India : Long silky hair is super important. And the pale complexion too; lightening cream is probably the most popular beauty product in India!

Great Britain : Even more than in North America, being tall and thin is highly valued. The fake tan is also important in this country where the sun is quite rare.

Several African countries : Having very generous curves is the height of beauty, since a round woman represents health and fertility, as opposed to malnutrition which is still relatively common.

In short

We often talk to you about it, but we can never say it enough: it is very important not to be let down by the unrealistic standards of beauty that we see in the media. We must remember every day that this is not reality, but an interpretation of it.

No one meets all of our society’s beauty standards, not even the girls whose images look perfect ! And what is considered beautiful here could be very ugly in another context or another culture.Since no one decides on their physical attributes, and even if the beauty lottery is sometimes unfair, it is better to focus on what we can control, which is our perception and our perspective!

Here is a very important factor that relates to our perception of ourselves and our unique beauty: being surrounded by positive female role models. Whether it is our friends, our colleagues, our mother, our aunts, our cousins, our nieces or our daughters, adopting good role models and above all being a good role model can greatly help self-esteem.

Think about it girls! You are beautiful

Medicinal Plants And Plant Extracts – Vigorous Herbs

Medicinal plants and their extracts are important export products for many developing countries. With aging populations and growing consumer preference for natural health products, medicinal plants represent a niche market that exporters from many Least Developed Countries (LDCs) are striving to develop to ensure sustainable production and exports. . ITC’s Market News Service quarterly report on Medicinal Plants and Extracts addresses the lack of readily accessible information on international trade in medicinal plants produced and exported by developing countries and LDCs.

Information

Medicinal and aromatic plants are understood as botanical raw materials, also known as medicinal herbs, mainly used for therapeutic, aromatic and / or culinary purposes, or as components used in the manufacture of cosmetics, medicines , natural foods and other natural health products. They are also the starting material for value-added processed natural products such as essential oils, dry and liquid extracts and oleoresins. The industrial demand for medicinal and aromatic plants is undeniable, thanks to the increased production of therapeutic herbal formulations, herbal cosmetics and herbal dietary supplements. In addition, traditional doctors, traditional healers and household consumption have contributed to the demand for herbal medicines. Medicinal and aromatic herbal finished products are increasingly prescribed and sold without a prescription. The global herbal medicine market is in all likelihood expected to grow by US $. 19.5 billion in 2008 to US $. 32.9 billion in 2013, an annual growth rate of 11.0% according to a study conducted in 2009 by BCC Research.9 billion in 2013, an annual growth rate of 11.0% according to a study conducted in 2009 by BCC Research.9 billion in 2013, an annual growth rate of 11.0% according to a study conducted in 2009 by BCC Research.

ITC publishes quarterly market information reports to promote and improve international market transparency and fill information gaps on herbal medicines and herbal extracts. The regional studies cover the main producing regions: Africa, China (and other East Asian countries), India (and other Asian countries), North America and South America. Occasionally, information on countries in Oceania has been included. Each section dedicated to regions covers:

changes in supply and demand; news from the main producers in each region; the indicative prices of raw materials and plant extracts, the commercial specifications commonly in force in each region; relevant meetings and trade shows; a directory of world herb trade associations and some specific information (company profiles, regulations);links to sustainability standards and guidance documents for global trade in medicinal and aromatic plants and their extracts.

Some 3000 species of botanical raw materials are sold around the world. The report covers the most exported natural products (EN) (by value and volume; link to all product specifications). Previous editions of the report are available until 2001.

Measuring the size of the sector is in itself a challenge, mainly because there is no complete and exhaustive list of harmonized tariff codes for medicinal and aromatic plants and their extracts. Many countries are struggling with the lack of precision in their tariff schedules and would like precise 8 and 10 digit codes for their most important botanical imports and exports.

Even when the national tariff lists are referenced by a company, they are not sufficiently precise and do not allow to differentiate the botanical species (using the Latin binomial names), and the various transformed forms of the species. In addition, natural botanical ingredients are not grouped within the Harmonized System Tariff Codes. Medicinal and aromatic plants and other botanical ingredients appear.
